Action becomes routine. Life becomes everyday. Man becomes automaton. He functions and does what he has learned. What he needs to learn. Life is infinitely vast. Much is still undiscovered. At the same time, the danger of getting lost in false personas and never finding oneself again increases. Am I
Is this what I want to do? Am I who I want to be?

This graphic self-reflection on my life has arisen from questions about the topic of „autonomy“. Using philosophical, sociological and psychological facts, I am gradually coming to understand the world we live in today and discovering the automatisms that people unconsciously follow. Graphically, the work deals with theories of autonomy, photographically I look into history, showing possibilities for self-fulfilment, past and present, and finally, I assess myself with visually powerful infographics.

A notebook that can be unfurled into a 15-meter-long zigzag fold shows: there's more to life than meets the eye at first glance.

The engagement with the surprisingly honest comments on factual texts and one's own life story stimulates discourse on the most important questions of existence: Who decides how a person should be? What role does shared history play? How conscious is one's own behaviour? And what is it supposed to be – the right way to live?
